Taleberry Privacy Policy

Webomax Bilişim Teknolojiler Limited Şirketi (“we,” “us,” or “our”) makes Taleberry (the “App”), an app that helps parents create personal, illustrated and narrated stories for their children.

We built Taleberry for families, so we keep data to a minimum. There are no accounts, no ads and no tracking for advertising, and we never sell your data. Your children’s profiles and stories are saved on your device, not on our servers.

This policy explains what information the App uses, why, who processes it, and the choices you have.

1. Summary

On your device: your children’s first names and age ranges, your stories, their pictures and narration, and your settings.
Sent to create a story: your child’s first name (unless you choose a “Surprise hero”), their age range, the story type, length and language, and your optional story idea. This is sent to our server and our AI providers only to write, illustrate and narrate that story.
Kept on our server: the story text for up to one hour while its picture and narration are made, plus simple usage counters linked to an anonymous ID.
Subscriptions: handled by Apple and RevenueCat. We never see your payment details.

2. Information Stored on Your Device

The App saves the following only on your device:

The first names and age ranges of the children you add.
The stories you create, with their pictures and narration audio.
Your favorites and settings (narrator voice, story language, background sound).
Your agreement to share story details with our AI providers.
If you used our earlier app, Drift, any notes you created there. You can view, share or delete them in Settings.

We cannot see or access this data. It may be included in your device’s own backups (such as iCloud), which are governed by Apple’s privacy policy.

Delete it anytime: Settings → “Delete all my data” permanently erases your children, stories, pictures, narration and settings from the App. Deleting the App also removes this data. Deleting your data does not cancel a subscription.

3. Information Used to Create a Story

The first time you use the App, we ask for your permission before any story details are shared with our AI providers. Each time you create a story, the App sends:

Your child’s first name, unless you choose a “Surprise hero.”
Their age range (for example, “4–5”).
The story type, length and language you choose.
Your optional story idea, in your own words.
The narrator voice you choose.

Please don’t include sensitive details such as full names, addresses, school names or health information in story ideas.

This information goes to our server, which builds child-safe instructions and sends them to our AI providers (see Section 5):

Story text: your child’s first name, age range, story choices and idea, to write the story.
Picture: a short scene description without your child’s name, to paint the illustration.
Narration: the finished story text, which may include your child’s first name, to read it aloud.

The story text and picture description are stored on our server for up to one hour so the picture and narration can be made, and are then deleted. The finished story, picture and narration are sent back to your device and saved there.

We do not use story details to build profiles or for advertising, and we do not use them to train AI models.

4. Other Information We Process

Anonymous app ID: a random ID created by RevenueCat when you first open the App. It is not linked to your name, email or Apple ID. We use it to check whether you have Premium and to count the stories you’ve created.
Usage counters: small counters linked to your anonymous ID record how many stories you’ve created (your free story, or your Premium stories this month). They expire automatically after 40 days for Premium users and after about 13 months for free users.
IP address: used briefly to prevent abuse, for example to limit free stories from one network in a day. Daily network counters are deleted after two days. Our hosting provider also keeps short-lived technical logs (such as request times and errors) to keep the service secure and reliable.
Purchase information: if you subscribe, RevenueCat receives your purchase history and subscription status from Apple so we know you have Premium. We never receive your name, email or payment card details.
Affiliate attribution: if you install Taleberry through a creator’s link, our affiliate partner GoMarketMe may receive an app-specific device identifier and your purchase details, so the creator who referred you can be credited.

We do not use advertising identifiers (IDFA), and the App does not include analytics or advertising SDKs. The App does not access your microphone, camera, photos, contacts or location.

5. Service Providers

We share information only with providers that help us run Taleberry. They may use it only to provide their services to us:

OpenRouter: sends our story-writing and illustration requests to AI models, such as those from Anthropic and Black Forest Labs. We ask OpenRouter to route story-writing requests only to providers that do not keep or train on the data. Privacy Policy

Google (Gemini API): a backup that may write, illustrate or narrate stories if another provider is unavailable. Privacy Policy
Cloudflare: hosts our server and protects it from abuse. Privacy Policy

Each provider handles data under its own privacy policy and may keep it for a limited time as described there. We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of our users or others.

6. Children’s Privacy

Taleberry is made for parents and guardians. Adults use the App to create stories, and children enjoy the stories with them. The App is not designed for children to use on their own.

We never ask children for information. The only information about a child is what a parent chooses to enter: a first name and an age range. A parent can avoid sharing a name by choosing a “Surprise hero.” We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children.

If you believe a child has given us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

7. How Long We Keep Information

On your device: until you delete it in the App or delete the App.
Story details on our server: up to one hour.
Usage counters: 2 days (network), 40 days (Premium monthly) or about 13 months (free story).
Service providers: as described in their own privacy policies.

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Türkiye, we process information on these grounds:

Your consent: to send story details to our AI providers. You can withdraw consent by deleting your data or the App.
Performance of a contract: to provide the App and your subscription.
Legitimate interests: to keep the service secure and prevent abuse.

Our providers may process information outside your country, including in the United States. Where required, these transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

9. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, including under the GDPR, the UK GDPR, the CCPA/CPRA in California and the KVKK in Türkiye, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal information, to object to its use, to data portability, and to withdraw consent.

Most of your data lives only on your device, so you control it directly in the App. For anything else, contact us at the email below. Because we don’t use accounts, we may ask for details, such as an App Store receipt, to find information linked to your anonymous ID. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.

We do not sell or “share” personal information as those terms are defined under California law.

10. Security

We protect information with encryption in transit (HTTPS) and by keeping AI provider keys on our server, never in the App. We also keep as little data as possible for as short a time as possible. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We’ll post the new version on this page and update the Effective Date above. Please check this page from time to time.
